Here We Are

Three months have passed since my last update. In that time, we were in OK while Scott trained for several weeks, and the kids started school. The girls are in school two days a week now, which has given me some breathing room to stay on top of life now that Scott has moved to WA. 

Lots of people ask how that’s going—I would say, we are handling it well. He came home for five days in October and will do the same in November. We are very lucky that he can rearrange his schedule to make this work. Scott is settling into this life without us, and we just keep trucking. I have an incredible group of people around me who are so sensitive to my needs and to my kids’ needs, and that’s all I can hope for right now.

I haven’t written because I haven’t had anything to report. We thought a termination of parental rights was going to go through in August for E (our youngest), but their mom’s lawyer didn’t come to court, so it was continued to October. I’d love to say we’ll have some news next Tuesday, but I’m not holding my breath.
